With a career spanning the better part of four decades, Colin Firth is without doubt one of Britain's most beloved and successful actors.

The actor has racked up countless awards during this time including an Academy Award for his 2010 portrayal of King George VI in Tom Hooper's The King's Speech, a Golden Globe Award, two European Film Awards, two BAFTA Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Outside of Colin's famed acting career, he is also father to three sons - Will, Luca and Matteo. Whilst this is common knowledge to most, the more interesting fact is that his oldest son Will is an actor too and has actually starred in a film with him.

Colin's oldest son Will Firth is 31 years old and is the only child with from his past relationship with actor Meg Tilly.

William Joseph Firth, or Will as he is more commonly known, was born in 1990. William is now also an actor, appearing alongside his father in the 2016 romance sequel Bridget Jones's Baby.

The appearance was brief but showed glimpses of the talent Will possesses.

The third and final film in the Bridget Jones franchise was a critical and commercial success and went on to gross over $211 million worldwide on a budget of $35 million.

Whilst Will decided to follow down the same career path as his parents, in an interview with The Evening Standard in 2015 he admitted that their is a stark difference between him and his father.

He described his father as a "classy Englishman" and referred to himself as a "tall gangly Canadian." He then went on to add that his father is better suited for "the romantic lead roles."

However, this has not stopped the young star from carving out a career of his own.

Will has starred in Love Type D as recently as 2019, Caged in 2018 and perhaps most famously in the early 2000's Spider-Man franchise's first film, Spider-Man in 2002.
