MARVEL Snap is a new free-to-play card collecting and deck-building game from many of the same developers who created Hearthstone.

However, this game plays a lot faster than Hearthstone as players take turns simultaneously, with only six turns before the battle ends.

There are three power locations on the board, and the Marvel characters with the highest power values in at least two of the three locations at the end of the match win.

It’s always complicated to pick up a new game, but don’t worry; help is at hand.

We’ve picked out some of the best decks available right now so you can go into this new game with a strong plan and start racking up wins straight away.

Here’s our recommended decks to get you started in Marvel Snap:

Deathpool deck for Marvel Snap

Heroes include:

  • Deadpool
  • Nova
  • The Hood
  • Bucky Barnes
  • Carnage
  • Deathlok
  • Hulk Buster
  • Killmonger
  • Venom
  • Wave
  • Taskmaster
  • Death

This deck synergises well, as it pairs cards that get stronger when destroyed, with cards that can destroy things.

The best play here is to send out a card, destroy it, then send out the new stronger version.

Death is a special card whose energy cost reduces the more cards you destroy.

With this deck, she can quickly build up to an almost unbeatable 12 strength.

Sera Zero deck for Marvel Snap

Heroes include:

  • Zero
  • Angela
  • Carnage
  • Lizard
  • Mysterio
  • Bishop
  • Maximus
  • Venom
  • Typhoid Mary
  • Red Skull
  • Sera
  • Taskmaster

This deck is built around Sera, who lowers the cost of other cards in your hand, and Zero, who removes the effect of cards played straight after.

Many stronger cards carry negative effects or positively boost your opponent, making Zero and Sera the strongest combination to bring out big players.

Patriot deck for Marvel Snap

Heroes include:

  • Wasp
  • Misty Knight
  • Squirrel Girl
  • Mister Sinister
  • Shocker
  • Debrii
  • Mystique
  • Patriot
  • Kazar
  • Blue Marvel
  • Onslaught
  • Ultron

Patriot gives +2 strength to cards that don’t carry any special effects.

Cards such as Shocker and Wasp work well with Patriot to create even more powerful cards.

Kazar buffs cards with a 1-cost, such as Misty Knight and Squirrel Girl.

Onslaught can also double both of these effects if you get him out on the field.

Destroyer deck for Marvel Snap

Heroes include:

  • Nova
  • The Hood
  • Armor
  • Bucky Barnes
  • Carnage
  • Colossus
  • Deathlok
  • Green Goblin
  • Killmonger
  • Warpath
  • Hobgoblin
  • Destroyer

This is the second deck we recommend which focuses on destroying your own cards.

We are using Nova and Bucky Barnes to buff your deck as they’re destroyed.

Green Goblin and Hobgoblin will sap your opponents’ strength when destroyed rather than buffing your own.

The build-up leads to a 16-strength Destroyer on the field who triggers everyone else’s effects.

Sera Miracle deck for Marvel Snap

Heroes include:

  • Ant-Man
  • Angela
  • Colleen Wing
  • Mojo
  • Mysterio
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Star Lord
  • Bishop
  • Maximus
  • Dracula
  • Sera
  • America Chavez

Sera is used to make the cost of cards cheaper across the board, while the other players work to buff each other’s power.

There’s no big power card here, but you can easily make powerful synergies to tackle bigger players.

Dracula and America Chavez work well together as the final turn of battle guarantees Dracula gets nine strength.
